The Smelne Veenji Kotter 1300 is a traditionally motor sailer styled on the general lines of a North Sea fishing boat. She built in Holland, and is of heavy displacement (17000 kg). Excellent as a live-aboard, but with large fuel and potable-water capacities and hull-design to allow long-distance cruising. The sail plan is ketch, gaff-rigged main and mizzen, with a full foresail (not fractional).
Owner is interested in sale to allow down-sizing to smaller boat.
MECHANICAL
Single-engine Iveco Urania Model 8061, year 1989. New injector nozzles October 2020. Engine hours 1200 (est). Bronze 3-blade propellor in a stern tube, with packing (not a seal).
Fuel capacity is 700 liters in bulk tank, plus 102 liters in âday tankâ. Engine draws from day tank. Fuel is transferred from bulk tank to day tank via mechanical filtration, for clean and clear day tank.
The engine is cooled via a keel-cooling system which introduces zero salt water into the boat.
Bow thruster is Nobels 4kw Type 308 (new 2001).
ELECTRICAL
2x12-volt for house loads. 2x12 wired in series for 24 vdc system, used for engine start, bow thruster, and anchor windlass
12 volts system: Victronics AGM 165 ah, BAT-VIC-AGM-165-M8
24 volts system: Odyssey AGM 95 ah, Odyssey PC1350
All batteries new April 2020

DOMESTIC
Sleeps 4 in two cabins. 2 in âV-berthâ and 2 single bunks in main lower cabin. 1 additional at-sea berth possible in pilothouse cabin (upper cabin).
Separate shower/sink (starboard side) and head (port side).
Head is a Natureâs Head composting toilet, new August 2019. No holding tank. No seawater hull penetrations. No macerator pump.
Grey water from shower, and galley sink and WC sink is via new (August 2020) Whale grey water tank/pump system.
Approximate 200 gallon potable water in two cross-connect Stainless Steel tanks, visually inspected August 2020.
Tank water heater/boiler, also heated by engine coolant.
Eberspacher diesel cabin heater with central ducting for all cabins.
